[Faster Recovery] Erbium Fraxel
An ablative regeneration and scar laser that removes unnecessary layers from the skin. Acne scars, pore reduction * VAT separate

CO₂ penetrates deeply but carries more thermal injury and a higher PIH risk.
Er:YAG (2940 nm) precisely reaches the epidermis–dermis junction with less collateral heat, offering a safer fractional resurfacing profile while still delivering meaningful remodeling.
We tailor depth and energy to the person—not the machine preset.
Thin skin: layered low-energy overlaps
Thicker skin: higher energy in fewer passes
This fine control helps maximize results while keeping treatment comfortable and safe.
For fine lines, scars, and enlarged pores, we strategically overlap passes to concentrate stimulus exactly where needed—without over-treating adjacent skin.
Areas like the backs of the hands and the neck can be treated using area-specific settings that respect slower healing and lower sebaceous density. It’s technically demanding—we do it routinely.
Immediately after fractional channels open, we apply skin boosters so actives can reach the upper dermis:
PDRN and Juvelook (PDLLA + HA, small-particle boosters)
Paired with customized overlap and depth, this enhances remodeling for pores, fine lines, and acne scarring.
“Fractional” means we treat microscopic columns at spaced intervals rather than the entire surface. These columns trigger self-repair and collagen remodeling, enabling faster recovery while improving overall texture and tone.
Ablative fractional: precisely removes micro-columns down to the DEJ for stronger results on texture, lines, pigment—with some downtime.
Non-ablative fractional: heats the dermis through intact epidermis—quicker recovery, but milder effect.
KKEUT uses ablative Er:YAG fractional.
Er:YAG is highly absorbed by water at 2940 nm, letting us vaporize micro-columns accurately down to the epidermal–dermal interface.
Key advantages: precise depth control, minimal thermal spread, quicker recovery, and lower PIH risk compared with CO₂.
DOE (Diffractive Optical Element): distributes even energy to each micro-spot → uniform, safer coverage. Output is intentionally limited, so scar work relies more on operator technique.
MLA (Microlens Array): hotter center, cooler periphery → useful for deeper scars, but can concentrate heat and prolong downtime.
We primarily use DOE for even, controlled energy—ideal for pores, fine lines, and texture. For acne scars, we combine DOE with targeted overlap to achieve depth where it’s needed.
Collagen & elastin renewal: fibroblast activation thickens and firms the dermis → smoother, springier skin
Pore refinement: peri-pore fibers realign and tighten → more polished surface
Acne-scar remodeling: old scar tissue breaks down and is replaced by new collagen
Serdar ZA et al., Dermatol Ther. 2019: In 333 patients (face/neck), 3–4 Er:YAG sessions improved texture, wrinkles, and dyschromia.
Robati RM et al., J Cosmet Dermatol. 2020: Single-session Er:YAG showed significant improvement in fine lines; ≥3 sessions supported longer durability and pore tightening.
(Study summaries provided for patient education.)
Those seeking a brighter, smoother skin tone
Enlarged pores or atrophic/acne scars
Post-acne marks and fine lines
Anyone wanting to address dullness and lax texture
Face, neck, backs of hands, and other sites showing fine wrinkling or texture changes.
STEP 01 One-to-one consultation
STEP 02 Topical anesthetic
STEP 03 Er:YAG fractional (with tailored overlap)
STEP 04 Soothing care (cooling + calming pack) and optional booster delivery
Avoid cleansing/makeup the same day; start gentle cleansing the next day.
Grid marks, redness, and tenderness may last up to ~7 days; use cooling (ice packs) as needed.
Expect micro-flaking around day 3–4—do not pick; allow natural shedding.
Until flaking is complete, avoid alcohol, smoking, sauna/bathhouse, swimming.
From treatment day through 1–2 weeks post-shedding, apply barrier/healing ointments consistently.
Prioritize hydration and broad-spectrum sunscreen when outdoors.
Effective for dilated pores and acne marks
Micro-channels stimulate even regeneration
Improves tone and firmness along with texture
“No two skins are the same—even on the same person day to day. Under the name ‘fractional,’ we adjust energy and depth in 0.1-level steps according to that day’s skin.
The real success of fractional doesn’t live in the machine—it lives in the hands that guide it.
If you’ve chosen us, we intend to honor that trust with precision and safety.”
고객님들이 가장 많이 물어보시는 내용을 모았습니다.
Is Fraxel treatment very painful?
Since numbing cream is applied before the procedure, the pain is not severe, but a burning sensation may persist for 1-2 days.
When do scabs form/How long does peeling take?
Generally, scabs form 3-4 days after the treatment, and peeling occurs starting about a week later. Although there are individual differences, scabs typically fall off within 1-2 weeks. Since it is a laser treatment that induces exfoliation, temporary redness may occur after the procedure and usually lasts for 1-2 weeks.
How long does the redness last?
Typically, redness after treatment subsides within 1-2 weeks, but if skin regeneration is slow due to factors such as sensitive skin, dryness, or lack of nutrition, the redness may persist longer.
Can I wash my face and apply makeup after the treatment?
Please avoid washing your face and applying makeup on the day of Fraxel treatment; it is possible from the next day.
What is the treatment cycle?
Receive 3-5 sessions at 4-week intervals, and then repeat the treatment every 3-6 months to maintain the effects.
When do the effects appear?
Collagen regeneration begins 2-3 weeks after, and you can feel a firmer sensation after 1 month. However, for severely affected skin, at least 3 sessions are required to experience noticeable results.
